An analog revival
A Legacy Reimagined
Charles Farris left a lasting creative legacy long after his untimely passing in 2001. A skilled carpenter, mechanic, and artist, he created despite living with greyscale colorblindness.
Years later, his youngest granddaughter, professional photographer Whitney Pelfrey, discovered his beautifully preserved collection of film photography—and learned she had inherited both his artistic passion and his colorblindness.
Inspired by their shared perspective, Whitney created Farris Film Club to give forgotten photographs, objects, and stories a second chance at life. Opening this summer in the heart of Loveland, Ohio.
Reunited through film decades after his passing, Whitney Pelfrey and her grandfather, Charles Farris, proved that creative vision can run in the family. Their story celebrates art beyond color—and the past as something worth bringing forward.Portaged her canoe and gear 5 miles
