Preserving the past while celebrating the present.

Charles Farris has left a lasting impact on the world well after his too soon passing in 2001. Charles was a skilled carpenter, a trusted mechanic, and passionate artist who excelled despite his greyscale colorblindness.

In a humorous twist of fate, which only Charles could orchestrate, he left behind an unexpected legacy to be discovered by his youngest granddaughter, professional photographer Whitney Pelfrey, when she stumbled upon his well-preserved catalog of film photography.

This incredible discovery not only unveiled to Whitney the power of inherited passion for art - it also revealed that she too possessed Charles’ unique trait of colorblindness. A surprise she never saw coming.

Opening this summer in the heart of Loveland, Ohio, Farris Film Club values giving the beauty of the past a second chance at life.

Re-united decades after his passing Granddaughter Whitney Pelfrey and Grandfather Charles Farris prove that that passion flows just as deeply as our DNA. Their inspiring story reminds us that true artistry sees beyond color and our past should be celebrated just as much as our present.
